GAZA -- At least 29 Palestinians were killed and more than 50 others injured on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike that hit a residential block in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, Hamas said in a statement.
Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for Gaza Civil Defense, told Xinhua that rescue teams were still searching for survivors and bodies trapped under the rubble. (Gaza Strip-Hamas-Israel)

YANGON -- Seven people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in eastern Myanmar's Shan state late Tuesday, an official from a rescue organization said.
The accident occurred at around 10:40 p.m. local time on Tuesday when a six-wheeled vehicle plunged into a 500-foot-deep ravine beside the Pyidaungsu road in Kengtung township. (Myanmar-Traffic Accident)

TEHRAN -- Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday that under the guidelines of the country's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the upcoming negotiations with the United States in Oman will be held indirectly.
He made the remarks at a ceremony to mark the National Nuclear Technology Day, which falls on April 9, while elaborating on the talks between Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff on Tehran's nuclear program to be held in Oman on Saturday, according to a statement published on the website of his office.
