In a statement on Friday, Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the repeated US attacks on various areas of Yemen, including the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, and Al-Jawf and the bombing of infrastructures and residential areas.
He described the US military aggression against Yemen as a blatant violation of the Arab country's sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as a gross breach of the principles of the UN Charter and the rules of international law.
The US attacks against the residential areas of Yemen and its vital infrastructure constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, he added.
The spokesperson also voiced regret over the inaction of the UN and the Security Council on the blatant lawlessness of the US and the killing of innocent civilians.
Baqaei said the continuation of US aggression in Yemen, alongside the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, and the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime against Lebanon, have increasingly destabilized the West Asia region.
All regional countries share a collective responsibility to confront warmongering by the Zionist regime and the US and their violations of international law, he stated.
