Foolad Sirjan Reaches 2025 AVC Mens Champions League SF

TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian club Foolad Sirjan secured a spot in the inaugural Mens Champions League of the Asian Volleyball Confederation after defeating Shanghai Bright of China 3-1 on Friday.

Foolad Sirjan had previously defeated Nakhon Ratchasima QminC of Thailand and Taichung Bank of Chinese Taipei.

The Iranian men will face either Osaka Bluteon of Japan or Nakhon Ratchasima QminC in the semi-finals on Saturday.

In another semi-final, Japans Suntory Sunbirds Osaka will compete against Al Rayyan of Qatar.

The competition is being held at the Panasonic Arena in Hirakata in Japans Osaka for the preliminary rounds and at Shimadzu Arena in Kyoto for the final rounds, from May 11 to 18.

Both the champion and the runner-up will qualify for the 2025 FIVB Mens Volleyball Club World Championship.
