Pezeshkian made the comments at a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, held in Tehran on Monday.
Referring to the indirect talks between Iran and the US, Pezeshkian said if the US administration is indeed concerned about Iran's nuclear activities, Tehran will be willing to offer reassurance..
However, he noted, Iran will not yield to pressures and will continue to pursue peaceful nuclear advancements in health, medicine, agriculture, and industry, his official website reported.
The Islamic Republic does not take orders or seek permission from anyone for the growth and progress of the Iranian nation, the president asserted.
Highlighting the potential for cooperation between Iran and Iraq, the president said expanding collaboration in trade, industry, healthcare, and scientific research will yield mutual benefits for the two countries.
Pezeshkian also voiced Irans readiness to share its achievements in various fields, including the technological application of nuclear technology in medicine, industry, and agriculture.
For his part, the Iraqi foreign minister conveyed warm greetings from his countrys president and prime minister to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian people.
Hussein noted that Iran-Iraq relations are currently at a dynamic and positive level, with increasing trade and economic exchanges.
He emphasized the importance of cultural and academic cooperation between the two nations, describing their religious bonds as a valuable asset for fostering closer ties.
