Parents of Minab children write to Pope Leo XIV

"Our children will never return home to build a better tomorrow."

Grieving parents of over 100 schoolchildren killed in a U.S.-Israel airstrike on Iran's Minab, wrote to Pope Leo XIV, thanking him for his advocacy of peace.

They asked Pope Leo to remain "the voice of the voiceless children" and strive to reopen paths of dialogue.

The pope's public criticism of the war on Iran has triggered a heated confrontation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
